Pengertian Preposition of Purpose

preposition (kata depan bahasa Inggris) yang menunjukkan hubungan “tujuan” (purpose) antara objek-nya dan kata-kata lain di dalam suatu kalimat.

RUMUS :

In order (to/that) = subjek + predicate + in order to/that + infinitive/that-clause
So that = subjek + predicate + so that + that-clause
To = to + verb
For = for + verb-ing

So that lebih sering digunakan daripada in order to ketika suatu kemampuan/ kesanggupan diekspresikan dalam suatu kalimat. Kata “Can” dapat digunakan dalam adverb clause jika suatu kalimat tersebut memilki makna atau terjadi saat sekarang (present) atau masa yang akan datang (future). Sedangkan kata “Could” digunakan setelah “so that” jika kejadiannya sudah lampau (past).

Objective merupakan bentuk kata dalam bahasa inggris.Kata ini memiliki arti tujuan.

Namun, tujuan yang dimaksud pada kata ini yaitu tujuan yang terperinci dengan jelas. Contohnya adalah ketika kita belajar giat, maka tujuan kita adalah mendapatkan nilai 90. Nah, tujuan tersebut dapat kita sebut dengan objective.

Rumus : Subjek + To Be + Noun + Objek

CONTOH KALIMAT :

To pass the examination is one of my objective (Untuk lulus ujian adalah salah satu tujuan ku)

what is your objective here? (apa tujuan mu disini?)

Marry with him is one of my objective (menikah dengan nya adalah salah satu tujuan ku)
